Disney College Program: Apartment Tour

August 23, 2017

Well I'm finally officially living in Florida again! I checked in to my college program on Monday and I think I'm pretty much done unpacking, so I wanted to share my apartment with you guys!
Kourtney and I unfortunately got split from the other girls we wanted to live with, so we're in a 1 bedroom 3 person apartment in Patterson Court. Which kinda sucked at first BUT a 3rd roommate never moved in so it's pretty nice.
(I picked out this tapestry on Society6 but bought it on Amazon for A LOT cheaper)
We still have some decorating that we can do, but my goal was to make it more home-y than the apartment I lived in on my last program, and it's already a lot better than that!
We have two vanities; mine is in the bathroom and Kourtney's is in our room. Our bathroom has a door to our bedroom and a door to the rest of the apartment. Which is going to make getting ready in the morning so much easier!
Unfortunately we did get bunk beds, Kourtney took the bottom bunk and hasn't decorated yet but we have plans to make it look really cute. Hopefully that top bunk will stay empty for a while though.
Here's my side of the room! My bedding is from Target and I made the wall hanging myself (thank you Pinterest!) I barely decorated on my last program and they took the big cork boards out of the apartments, so I love how it turned out!
And obviously I had to bring Eleven with me! Also my bedside table will probably never be this neat again so I needed to post what it looks like now.
Overall I love living in Patterson, it's a lot more quiet than Chatham was and the apartment is honestly really nice.
And the pool is BOMB.

How early is too early to decorate for Halloween? Let me know in the comments!

Disney College Program: 1 Week To My Big Move!

August 11, 2017

Oh my gosh guys, I leave for my college program in 1 WEEK! It’s crazy to think that when I started Adventures In Adulting I didn’t know if I would ever be returning to Disney as a cast member again, but it’s all happening! So obviously I’m going to be going out of my mind getting ready but here’s a few things that have been keeping me sane:

Morning workouts
The one thing I have been able to keep pretty consistent this summer has been my morning workouts. Whether I take it easy and walk along my local bike path, or do a full workout at the gym, it’s the perfect way to start my day. It's an hour that I have to myself where I can plan out my day, catch up on my podcasts, and not feel like a lazy piece of crap.

LUSH
Okay obviously Lush is no secret. But I’m taking full advantage of their bath bombs, bubble bars and anything glittery while I can. Not that I can’t have a bath in my apartment after I move, but I definitely feel more comfortable and relaxed at home. (And the new Pink bath bomb just makes me think of Harry Styles' new album which is also keeping me sane let's be honest).

Clearance shopping
I’ve been in the (bad) habit of stress shopping instead of saving or packing for the move, BUT since I’m moving somewhere warm, I’m taking full advantage of summer clearance racks and back to school sales. I’m trying to stock up on summer clothes in fall colors and I’ve been getting some amazing deals at places where I honestly wouldn’t be able to afford otherwise (because ya girl is BROKE).

Disney Vloggers
In the middle of packing and shopping and visiting family and running around like a crazy person to get everything done, it can be easy to forget why I'm even doing all of this. So I tend to find myself stuck in a Youtube black hole of WDW Vloggers like Tim Tracker or Justin Scarred, so I can keep myself excited and motivated instead of stressed out of my mind.

So yeah, did I write this post to avoid the last bits of packing I need to do? YUP! But I'm so excited and I hope you guys are too. Cause I have some awesome content ideas coming your way once I'm back in Orlando!

Disney College Program: What's In My Park Bag?

August 06, 2017

This is a post I’ve been excited to write because I feel like I have perfected my park bag situation since my last program. These are some things that I couldn’t live without on my program and things you may want to buy before you start yours!

First of all you want to get a small backpack, I've found that the JanSport Half Pint bags are the best because they can fit a ton of stuff (like a raincoat and shoes on top of everything else). They also fit into the bag pouches on rides like Space Mountain.
I also love to put my celebration buttons on my bag - but keep an eye on them! Someone stole my favorite Kylo Ren button on my last day last year!
Also make sure you have a portable battery and charger.
Also keep a small cosmetic bag in there for:
Headphones
Makeup
Advil
& Trading pins!
Make sure you have your autograph book in there at all times just in case!
I always throw a pair of ears in there too.
Sunglasses are a must.
But don't forget how unpredictable Florida weather can be!
I was able to fit a spare pair of flip flops and either my umbrella or raincoat in this bag whenever it looked like a storm would be coming.
Or if it seemed like it would get cooler when the sun went down, I had a light sweatshirt in there too!
Don't forget a refillable water bottle
Also have your ID's (if you're a Cast Member) and hand sanitizer!

((I promise all this stuff doesn't make the bag heavy I swear the half pint backpacks are magic!))

Did I forget anything? Let me know in the comments! :)
